Abadan photo exhibit highlights liberation of Khorramshahr
A large collection of photographs on the theme of the liberation of Khorramshahr from Iraqi forces on May 24, 1982 opened at the Abadan Museum of Contemporary Art on Sunday.
The exhibit is displaying works by Mahmud Farnud, Mohsen Rastani, Kazem Akhavan, Mohsen Chubdaar, Rasul Mollaqolipur and Rasul Sadr-Ameli.
A port city in southwestern Iranian Khuzestan Province, Khorramshahr was captured by Iraqis on October 26, 1980 during the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war.
