Musical Narration of “Simorgh” in Festival De Cannes
As in previous years, Best-seller to Box-office was held at the 68th Festival De Cannes and on May, 18th Iranian animated feature “Simorgh” was presented by its director Ali Noori Oskouie.
During the session, Iranian traditional musician Seyed Vahid Olyaee talked about the poetic narration of the movie and explained about the relation of Attar’s seven valleys of love and seven songs of Iranian traditional music.
The event which took place in the Literary Adaptation Pavilion at the Village International Pantiero was well received by the attendees. Talking about the potentials of Iranian literature to narrate mystic and moral concepts, Oskouie added that owing to its unique cinematic language and miniature like graphics, Simorgh can be an entirely distinct artwork.
